You can find Pilates equipment from barrels to the popular reformer in good quality and at affordable prices. Use the various Pilates equipment to discover new dimensions of Pilates or to simply put the finishing touches to your workouts. You can find the many smaller Pilates aids and Pilates tools (e.g. Pilates balls, stretch bands, Pilates rings, etc.) in their own categories here in the Pilates menu.
Pilates with tools / with Pilates equipment
Pilates is considered a balanced workout that is effective but not overwhelming. To increase efficiency and make the exercises as varied as possible, various equipment and tools are used.
Joseph Pilates, who initially developed his training method during the Second World War as a rehabilitation measure, made a virtue out of necessity and incorporated equipment such as hospital beds. Today's equipment, such as the reformer, still shows some of its origins clearly, but has been further developed and refined. They are ideal for building muscle and enable fluid movements thanks to sophisticated suspension mechanisms.
In addition to the large equipment, there are various smaller aids that enrich Pilates training. Rings, rollers, stretch bands, wedges and blocks - the selection of tools is diverse. Each tool offers several possible uses, which significantly expands the range of exercises. You can find the smaller tools in their own subcategories, while you can see the larger equipment in this section.
Discover the whole spectrum of Pilates: varied and efficient!
Pilates equipment from A to Z
The variety of Pilates training can be increased enormously through the use of tools. From small to large equipment, simple or sophisticated aids are available that always give Pilates practice a new look. The PILATESSTAR line offers you the entire range of efficient Pilates tools. Pilates blocks and rollers are part of the range, as are Pilates rings and the popular Pilates balls, or of course stretch bands and straps. Various barrels are also available, for example step barrels, stacking arc barrels or closed arc barrels, as well as the sitting box, for example. Balls, blocks, rollers and various other small tools are used - all of which are also suitable for beginners. Pilates balls are available in different sizes, and you can see a large model in the picture. The possible uses of these balls are very diverse: you can do exercises sitting on the ball, lie completely or partially on the ball, and much more. Many exercises that can also be done without a ball are intensified by the ball, and the deeper muscles can be activated even more clearly. Pilates rings are also popular and can be used to strengthen the chest, arm and leg muscles. The Pilates organization has developed a large repertoire of exercises tailored to these rings. The stretch bands, which you can also see in our pictures, originally come from physiotherapy, but are now also widely used in Pilates. The bands offer resistance, with different strengths available, and can be used to specifically build up selected muscle groups.
In addition to the smaller devices, which are a real asset to your training, there are various barrels and different versions of the reformer with the corresponding accessories to choose from. You can find all of these here in the “Pilates Equipment” section.
The ladder barrel, the step barrel or the arc barrel open up new dimensions of practice. For example, the ladder barrel helps to specifically improve the flexibility of the spine and can also be used for cardio exercises. A treadmill with various features for individual settings is also available for cardiovascular training.
The reformer is the classic large Pilates device and can be found in every Pilates studio. Exercises that are familiar from equipment-free training can be performed more effectively on the reformer, and new exercises are also possible. PILATESSTAR also offers the reformer as a model with a maple wood frame.
PILATESSTAR has special mats in its range for floor training, and you will also find a special section for this. Look forward to an exciting Pilates training session with PILATESSTAR products!
Here we would like to introduce you to some of the Pilates equipment from this category in more detail so that you can get a more vivid impression of what is possible with the Pilates equipment:
The Reformer
The reformer is the "ultimate" Pilates device because it offers numerous functions and allows for individual adjustment to the user. This large device was originally used in rehabilitation and in the training of top athletes or dancers, but today it is not only used in the therapeutic field and in top sports, but especially by advanced Pilates practitioners. How elaborately you equip your reformer depends on your training goals and your budget. Whether it's a Cadillac or Half Cadillac, Jump Board or Big Tower, that's up to you and your individual wishes. Design your reformer so that it meets your needs and is tailored to your favorite workouts. Of course, you can also expand it gradually by purchasing new reformer accessories over time. You can find detailed information about the reformer models available from us and the additional accessories in the product descriptions.
Ladder Barrel
Another slightly larger but less complex Pilates device is the Ladder Barrel. Exercises such as the "Swan" or the "Mermaid" can be performed on it, and exercises lying on your side are also possible thanks to the good padding. The shape of the barrel supports good back bends, the ladder can be gripped with the hands and offers different steps so that everyone can use their individual scope without exceeding their limits.
Step Barrel
The Step Barrel is an ingenious construction for various seated exercises, but is also suitable for exercises while lying down. It helps you to find the optimal position.
Arc Barrel
And another barrel - this time a very simple but nevertheless very efficient model: The Arc Barrel, with its perfect curve, offers support for exercises that are performed lying on your side and, of course, for lying on your back in a deep backbend. You can also do exercises lying on your stomach on it. The Closed Arc Barrel and Stacking Arc Barrel versions (hollow inside and therefore lighter) are available.
Sitting Box
The comfortable and stable Sitting Box is, as the name suggests, a Pilates device on which mainly sitting positions are performed, including those for strengthening the abdominal muscles.
