The YOGISTAR equipment offers you yoga belts in various designs. You can find yoga belts in different lengths and with either a plastic or metal buckle in this section.

What is a yoga belt for?

A yoga belt is always handy when you need to bridge gaps - for example between your hands when they can't reach each other. The yoga strap can also help you achieve more precise alignment in the asanas. You can work with the yoga strap when you want to create tension and move further into a yoga pose little by little. You can even use the yoga strap to optimize shoulder alignment. The yoga strap can also be used when stretching.

We recommend that you get individual application tips from your yoga teacher that are tailored to your needs and your practice. Here are some common examples to illustrate this.

How to use your yoga belt: some examples

  • In Supta Padangushthasana, you can place the yoga strap around your foot and hold the ends of the strap in your hands to pull your foot closer to you.
  • In Rajakapotasana, you can place the yoga strap around the foot of the leg that is bent upwards, creating a connection between your hands and foot if you cannot grasp the foot with your hands.
  • In Dandasana, it is a nice option to place the yoga strap around your flexed feet and work your way forward slightly on the strap with your hands while maintaining tension.
  • If you cannot bring your hands together behind your back in Gomukhasana, you can use the yoga strap as an extension or as a connecting link.
  • In Navasana, the boat, you can place the yoga strap around your toes and pull on it with your hands.
  • If you tie a yoga strap around your arms above your elbows in Adhomukha-Shvanasana, the downward dog pose (or ask your yoga teacher or a yoga partner to do this) and push against the resistance of the strap, this will help you to bring your shoulder blades outwards more. You can also use the yoga strap in this way in the crow pose.

These exemplary uses for the yoga belt make it clear that the yoga belt is a truly versatile tool that can enrich your yoga practice in many ways - regardless of whether you are just starting out with yoga or whether you are already an experienced practitioner.

Yoga belts are not a new trend, but have long been established in asana practice. Accordingly, the yoga belt has been an integral part of the YOGISTAR range from the very beginning. Over the years, the "yogibelt" has accompanied countless yogis and yoginis through their asana practice and many have been able to significantly improve or refine their execution of the asanas with the help of the yogibelt. Questions about your yoga belt

Our customer service team is frequently asked these questions about yoga straps:

  • What metal is the D-ring on the yogibelts with metal buckle made of?
All Yogibelts that have an M in their name (M for metal buckle or MB for metal bucket) have a chrome D-ring.
  • How robust are the yogibelts? Can they really withstand a lot?
The strong cotton fabric of the "yogibelt" yoga belt is durable and hard-wearing. The same applies to the jute fiber in our new "yogibelt jute" version. The yogibelt can take a lot - we promise!
  • Can I only use the yoga strap in combination with other aids?
No, you do not need any other yoga accessories to use the yoga strap effectively. The yoga strap is a completely independent tool and can be used independently of other equipment (see the explanations and examples above).
  • I attend fast-paced Vinyasa flow yoga classes that don't use props. Is it still worth it for me to buy a yoga strap?
Even if you don't use a belt in the flow itself, it can still be worthwhile to occasionally practice the individual postures separately, to make them more precise with the help of a yoga belt and to work more efficiently on the alignment as well as the mobility and strength of certain parts of the body with the yoga belt. The yoga belt is a useful tool for both beginners and advanced practitioners. A yoga belt has a wide range of uses. It can make asanas easier, but also help with "fine-tuning" and, depending on the specific application, is a great benefit for beginners as well as advanced yoga practitioners.
