40,000 years ago, the science of sound was discovered with its healing effects, establishing an important part of yoga to harmonise body, mind and spirit. These sounds were channeled by enlightened masters, and this in sacred languages such as Latin, Sanskrit, and Gurmukhi.
This is known as "Mantra" or "Naad Yoga", handed down through the Golden Chain of Teachers, and brought to the West by teachers like Yogi Bhajan. Each mantra can be "danced" in a creative way, acting as a meditation to heal and uplift the mind, as well as energise the whole self. This is also done through the use of mudras - specific hand and finger postures. It is the "Celestial Dance" - an inspiring way to connect with the Infinite
Sirisat Kaur alias Julia Claire (vocals, composition, lyrics, piano and guitar), already known to many through her beautiful voice from recordings such as "Peace of Mind" with Mata Mandir Singh, convinces on her first own mantra CD with catchy melodies, danceable and varied rhythms and sounds. She teaches workshops with the "Celestial Dance" in Spain and other countries. She is musically supported by Carles Reig (drums & percussions, flutes, synthesizer, background vocals; music, production and arrangements)
