The sandbag was developed specifically for TriYoga, but can be used in all other yoga styles as well - particularly as a weight for more intensive stretches in many poses of Iyengar, Anusara, and therapeutic yoga.
The 4 kg sandbag will help you deepen your yoga poses by using the weight on your thighs in the hero pose, or during the prone leg stretch. Placing the sandbag on your belly will help you become more aware of the muscles involved in breathing. It can also be placed under the feet to stretch your Achilles heels, or under your buttocks to elevate your seated pose.
The sandbag is made from a hard-wearing cotton fabric and filled with washed quartz sand. A practical dart in the middle of the bag allows you to fold it over (doubling the volume), and place it securely on individual body areas.
A practical carry handle allows easy positioning and transport.
