This mat was specifically designed for practising Pilates. Generously measured and absolutely sturdy, this mat is ideal for every Pilates and gym program. Thanks to its comfortable thickness (approx. 1 cm) and particularly thick cellular structure, the YOGISTAR Pilates mat provides smooth cushioning and truly protects the joints against hard floors.

This outstanding high-quality Pilates mat retains its resilience even after frequent and heavy use. It is extremely suitable for physiotherapy. The material of the YOGISTAR Pilates mat is skin-friendly (no AZO (solvent), no DOP (benzenes in the plasticiser) and free of phthalates) and dirt-repellent. You will make a very good choice with this mat.

Do I need another Pilates mat even if I already have one yoga mat?

Yes, we recommend purchasing a special Pilates mat. Pilates mats generally differ from yoga mats in terms of thickness, i.e. these are thicker because a stronger padding is required for the spine and knee. Besides, they are not as skid-proof as yoga mats by design because this is not recommended for Pilates. In fact, a Pilates mat should enable skidding to a certain extent and should have different surface properties compared to yoga mats.

Soft, comfortable mat for Pilates. The colour is paler than shown on the internet. Unfortunately, all the mats had large marks from the adhesive strips. The marks do not go away even though the mats have been lying flat for several days! The delivery was fast.
